The work of EnergyCloud was referenced recently in evidence to the UK Parliament\u2019s Northern Ireland Affairs Committee on the topic of Energy Costs in Northern Ireland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In evidence to the Committee, Pat Austin, Director, National Energy Action NI and Chair of the Fuel Poverty Coalition NI highlighted the role of EnergyCloud:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe are dumping so much wind that we are developing a project where some of it is being diverted into fuel-poor houses.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n At a time when energy costs are placing severe pressure on households, this points to a clear opportunity: using otherwise wasted renewable energy to deliver real support to those experiencing fuel poverty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This is exactly what EnergyCloud Northern Ireland is designed to do, by turning surplus renewable energy into practical, scalable support for households across Northern Ireland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Other contributors included Noyona Chundur, Chief Executive, Consumer Council for Northern Ireland and John French, Chief Executive, Utility Regulator NI<\/p>\n\n\n\n
