Dr. Patrick Keatley, CEO of EnergyCloud Northern Ireland explains the role of EnergyCloud in helping to create a ‘Social Reserve’ <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“In the UK each year, we waste billions of pounds\u2019 worth of renewable energy, while at the same time millions of households are in, or at risk of, fuel poverty. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

EnergyCloud seeks to solve both those problems. We are already operating with system and network operators and social housing providers to give free surplus renewable energy to households in need. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our aim is to create a social reserve which, whenever markets and systems have completed their work, takes excess renewable energy and gives it for free to fuel-poor households, creating massive social value.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
