But we should also ask a profoundly simple question:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When Scotland has surplus renewable electricity that cannot be used by the grid, why can some of it not help households experiencing energy poverty?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">EnergyCloud works with housing and energy partners to use periods of surplus renewable generation to provide free renewable energy to participating households.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">EnergyCloud will not solve the wider affordability crisis on its own. But it is a practical and preventative intervention that can put an immediate benefit directly into people\u2019s homes, using clean electricity that might otherwise go to waste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Scotland has abundant renewable energy.
