Alan Wyley Appointed CEO of EnergyCloud Ireland
EnergyCloud Ireland is pleased to announce the appointment of Alan Wyley as the new Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Alan brings extensive leadership experience, having held senior management roles across multiple sectors, including as Chief Commercial Officer at Luzern Solutions and CEO of EuroCommerce. Alan’s expertise spans operations, strategic growth, and stakeholder collaboration, positioning him as the ideal leader to drive EnergyCloud’s mission forward in Ireland.
Alan’s background includes over eight years as Chief Commercial Officer at Luzern Solutions, where he played a pivotal role in leading commercial strategy and delivering strong business results. Prior to this, he was CEO of EuroCommerce, where he spearheaded initiatives focused on the airline and travel industry, growing the company’s client base significantly in a short time. He has also served as Non-Executive Chairman of Staycity, Europe’s largest independent serviced apartment operator, overseeing operations across key European cities.
In addition to his corporate achievements, Alan has demonstrated a strong commitment to the community and charity sector. He has previously held the position of Chair of Barnardos Ireland and since 2017 he has been Chair of the Southside Partnership.
John Mullins, Chairperson of EnergyCloud Ireland, welcomed Alan’s appointment, stating, “Alan Wyley takes on the role as CEO of EnergyCloud Ireland at a crucial time for the organisation as we transition from a volunteer led organisation, to one with a full-time executive team. When I took over as Chairperson, I set out an immediate plan to recruit a full-time CEO to work to fulfil the mission of EnergyCloud in Ireland. A recruitment sub-group from our Board led this process and we now look forward to Alan using his extensive experience to lead the organisation through our next phase of growth. With his leadership, we are confident that EnergyCloud Ireland will continue to make a significant impact in tackling energy poverty by working with key partners across the energy sector.”
Alan Wyley, CEO of EnergyCloud Ireland, said, “When I first read the mission and values of EnergyCloud Ireland, I was immediately excited about the organisation, the stage of development and the opportunity to lead the team. Over my career, I have been fortunate to have been able to build, grow and exit several startups in the technology space, but it is very rare to take on a role such as this, which is an opportunity where I can take those skills and experiences and apply them to a social enterprise and help to tackle disadvantage in a real and tangible way.”
