EnergyCloud recognised by the National Economic and Social Council (NESC)

The work of EnergyCloud in Ireland has been recognised by the National Economic and Social Council (NESC) in a new report ‘Energy Transition as an Opportunity to Eliminate Energy Poverty’.

The NESC Secretariat Report No. 36 (May 2025) calls for support to expand EnergyCloud, stating: “Support for social enterprises such as EnergyCloud, which uses unused wind energy to heat water in energy poor households, should be considered so that they can operate at a bigger scale.”

Backed by a national coalition of partners, EnergyCloud Ireland is supported by: EirGrid, ESB, Bord Gáis Energy, Electric Ireland, Pinergy, PrepayPower, SSE Airtricity, Amazon, Solar Ireland and Wind Energy Ireland.
