John Mullins appointed Chairperson of EnergyCloud Ireland
At a meeting on 19th February 2024, the Board of EnergyCloud Ireland formally approved the appointment of John Mullins as Chairperson.
John Mullins, 55, is Executive Chairman of Amarenco a fast-growing company which is focused on the development, financing and ownership of solar PV and storage assets in Europe, Caribbean, Middle East and AsiaPac. Previous to this role, John was Chief Executive of Bord Gáis Energy from December 2007 until the end of 2012.During this time, Bord Gáis established a significant electricity business and developed significant renewable and conventional generation assets. He has held senior management positions with ESB, ESB International, PricewaterhouseCoopers (UK) and NTR plc.John served as Chairman of the Port of Cork Company Ltd. from 2013 to 2021 and served as Director of the Tyndall National Institute for ten years. He has extensive charity experience and served as Chairman of Anam Cara and as a Director of the Cope Foundation. He is a current Director of Wisetek Solutions Limited and a Director of Supervalu Pairc Ui Chaoimh.He is a Fellow of Engineers Ireland and the Irish Academy of Engineering. He holds a Bachelor and Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering and an MBA from the Smurfit Business School in University College Dublin. John was awarded a Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur by the then French President Francois Hollande.
