About Us

Our mission is to end energy poverty by creating solutions to divert surplus renewable energy – which would otherwise be wasted – to homes in Scotland, with a primary focus on those in fuel poverty.

According to the Scottish House Condition Survey 2023:

• 34% of households were fuel poor
• 4% were in extreme fuel poverty
• The median fuel poverty gap rose to £1,250

Those in social housing, on low incomes or using electric heating experience some of the highest levels of energy hardship.

At the same time, large volumes of renewable wind energy are curtailed each year. EnergyCloud Scotland exists to bridge this gap – using surplus clean energy to help families keep warm, reduce bills and support a more sustainable, just energy system.
