The UK Government’s Warm Homes Plan is an important and welcome statement of intent

Speaking about the publication of the UK Government’s Warm Homes Plan, David Nicholl, Chairperson of EnergyCloud England said:

“A commitment to warmer homes, lower bills, and tackling fuel poverty at scale is exactly what households across England need, particularly as we accelerate the transition to a cleaner, more electrified energy system.

At EnergyCloud, we see first hand how clean electricity, used intelligently, can deliver immediate social benefit. The plan’s emphasis on electrification, energy efficiency, and smarter use of power aligns strongly with the EnergyCloud mission of ensuring surplus renewable energy helps those who need it most.”

“As millions of homes adopt heat pumps, solar, batteries and smart controls, flexibility and fairness must go hand in hand. The energy transition will only succeed if vulnerable households are actively included and not left behind by complexity or cost.

EnergyCloud looks forward to working with policymakers, local authorities, network operators and delivery partners to ensure the Warm Homes Plan translates into real, measurable relief for households in fuel poverty, while strengthening the resilience of the energy system as a whole.”

“This is the right direction. Delivery and collaboration will be everything.”
