Chief Executive Officer
Alan recently spent eight years as Chief Commercial Officer at Luzern Solutions, where he played a pivotal role in commercial strategy and delivered significant revenue growth. Prior to this, he was CEO of EuroCommerce, where he grew the company’s airline and travel client base significantly and ultimately exited to MasterCard. He has also served as Non-Executive Chairman of Staycity, Europe’s largest independent serviced apartment operator.
In addition to his corporate experience, Alan has previously held the position of Chair of Barnardos Ireland and Darndale Belcamp Village Centre and since 2017 he has been Chair of the Southside Partnership.
Director of Operations
Anna Kennedy brings over 20 years of business leadership to her role as Director of Operations at EnergyCloud Ireland.
With a background in founding and scaling purpose-driven organisations, she now supports the development of operational frameworks and strategic partnerships that enable EnergyCloud’s mission to end energy poverty through the innovative use of surplus renewable energy.
Deputy Chief Operations Officer, Clúid Housing
Jo is Deputy Chief Operations Officer with Clúid Housing, having responsibility for the delivery of Clúid’s front line resident and property services. Clúid Housing is an award winning, not-for-profit charity providing over 11,000 affordable, high quality homes to people in housing need, and has grown to become one of the leading approved housing bodies in Ireland.
With over 30 years’ experience of the social housing sector, Jo has worked with both contractors and housing associations to deliver customer-focused repairs, compliance services, and asset management and tenancy strategies.
He has served as Chair of a school board of governors and of the co-authors’ board of the national schedule of rates in the UK. He is currently Vice Chairperson of Direct Works, an organisation promoting best practice in the delivery of repair and maintenance services in the social housing sector, whose members are responsible for over two million homes.
Jo is a member of the Chartered Institute of Building, holds an MBA from Cranfield and a BSc(Hons) in Building Technology from UMIST.
Public Affairs and Policy Specialist, Skillnet Ireland
Róisín is a Public Affairs and Policy Specialist with Skillnet Ireland, a business support agency of the Government of Ireland with responsibility for workforce development. Prior to this, Róisín worked for an international public affairs consultancy, Instinctif Partners, where she worked with clients across a range of sectors including renewable energy, transport, and technology. She was a Schuman Trainee at the European Parliament.
Róisín holds a first class honours degree in Politics, International Relations and German from University College Dublin and a Master’s Degree in Political Communication from Dublin City University. She has volunteered with organisations including the Society of St. Vincent de Paul and the Irish Red Cross.
Head of Policy & Research, Wind Energy Ireland
Dave is the Head of Policy & Research at Wind Energy Ireland. As a member of WEI’s senior leadership team, Dave leads the Policy & Research department in driving policy development, evidence-based analysis, and research activity across all aspects of the onshore and offshore renewable industry in Ireland.
Dave joined Wind Energy Ireland in 2021 to establish a new research function for the trade association. The research team is currently delivering on several collaborations with universities and third-level clusters on skills development, education, and research.
Before joining WEI, Dave spent eight years with EirGrid, Ireland’s transmission system operator. His experience spanned multiple areas of the business, including grid delivery, network planning, operational planning, performance monitoring, wind forecasting, business change and transformation, strategy, regulatory reporting, and energy markets.
Dave graduated from University College Cork with a first-class honours degree in Energy Engineering, and has completed post graduate qualifications in professional engineering, project and programme management and Six Sigma.
He is a board member of Energy Cloud Ireland and chairs the Energy, Environment and Climate Action division at Engineers Ireland. Dave is a chartered Engineer and Project Management Professional, registered with the PMI.
Global Senior Public Affairs Advisor
Sinéad has been involved in communications, reputation, public affairs and sustainability for over twenty years in Ireland and abroad. She has worked with multinational corporations and innovative start-ups, developing and implemented communications strategies in agriculture, health and energy.
Sinéad has an educational background in psychology from University College Dublin, communications from Dublin City University and sustainability from University of Cambridge. She has completed further study at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford’s Women in Leadership programme as well as Columbia University’s Corporate Governance programme.
She currently advises organisations on how to build their profiles and supports senior leaders to tell their stories in a way that resonates with external audiences. In recent years, her focus has been on sustainability communications. In her previous role as Director of Global Public Affairs and Sustainability at Bayer, she supported Board members to communicate Bayer’s new sustainability strategy.
Director of Energy Services, SSE Airtricity
Stuart is Director of Energy Services at SSE Airtricity. He joined SSE in 2009 with over 20 years’ experience in the energy industry in various senior management roles, having previously worked for ESB Networks for 10 years.
Stuart graduated with a Degree in Human Resource Management and subsequently graduated with an MSc in Management and Leadership from Smurfit Business School. He is responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of energy solutions for SSE Airtricity that provide clients, domestic and commercial, with tools to improve their energy efficiency. He manages a range of businesses and partnerships across Ireland.
Senior Advisor in Government Affairs, Strategy and Corporate Affairs
An experienced Board Member and Non Executive Director (INED), Cathal is a Senior Advisor in Government Affairs, Strategy and Corporate to a wide range of companies and organisations.
Cathal has over 20 years’ industry experience in public affairs and corporate communications, having previously served as a political adviser in the Houses of the Oireachtas (Irish Parliament) and then managing public affairs for the Construction Industry Federation (CIF). Until 2019, he was Chief Executive Officer of Lee Communications, a company he established to provide public affairs and corporate communications support to a large number of organisations and businesses. Most recently Cathal was Managing Partner with Instinctif Partners, the international business communications consultancy.
Over the course of his career Cathal has advised businesses of all sizes, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to high growth technology start-ups, as well as business associations, member organisations, non-governmental organisations and political leaders on public affairs strategies and corporate communications.
Cathal is an advisory board member of Asia Matters and is a graduate of University College Dublin with an MA in History of International Relations and a BA in History and Politics. He is a graduate of the Asia Europe Foundation (ASEF) University and represented Ireland at the 9th Asia-Europe Young Leaders Symposium held in Beijing, China.
Cathal is a former Board Member of the National Youth Council of Ireland and previously represented Ireland as a member of the European Youth Parliament. Cathal is currently an Advisory Council member of the Global Economic Summit.
Senior Development Manager, TU Dublin Foundation
Jackie is a dedicated and creative fundraising professional, having worked with numerous non-profit organisations in Ireland and abroad. She has developed fundraising strategies for capital campaigns and led on their implementation working with clients in various sectors including education, health, advocacy, wildlife conservation and faith-based.
Providing strategic guidance and innovative counsel, she has enabled these charitable causes to secure more than €60 million in philanthropic support. Most recently she has been appointed Senior Development Manager at TU Dublin Foundation and is currently focused on fundraising €30 million for their Transforming Tomorrow Campaign.
Jackie studied Accountancy and HR Management at the National College of Ireland (NCI) and has completed the ACCA Accountancy Qualification with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA Ireland).
Jackie has volunteered with organisations such as the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Ireland, Dyspraxia/DCD Ireland and the GAA.
Director of Corporate Services, Tuath Housing Association
With a strong background in social housing for more than fifteen years, Orla is dedicated to affordable and sustainable housing solutions. As an Executive Director at Tuath Housing Association the largest Approved Housing Body in Ireland, Orla has overall responsibility for the performance of the Corporate Services Department, which encompasses the legal, governance and risk, GDPR, communication and policy functions. She also acts as the Company Secretary of Tuath Housing Association.
Orla is an experienced solicitor and holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in Advanced Legal Practice from the Law Society of Ireland and a Master of Laws (LLM) in Commercial Law from University College Dublin. Most recently she successfully completed a Professional Diploma in Corporate Governance with the Corporate Governance Institute.
Chief Commercial Officer, Mozio Group
Niall is Chief Commercial Officer of Mozio Group, a leading global ground transportation aggregator. Previous to this role, Niall was Managing Director of FREENOW. During his time with FREENOW, he played an important role in driving the growth of the EV (Electric Vehicle) Fleet across the country and introducing Ireland’s first EV only fleet.
Before this Niall headed up operations for GoCar Ireland, Ireland’s largest car sharing scheme. In this role he worked with the government to amend legislation to allow car sharing to exist on-street across the country. Niall holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from Technological University Dublin and an MBA from Dublin City University.
Alongside being an active member in the GAA and his local community, he is also Director of Aqlity, a social enterprise that works with the international humanitarian community, Nazata Bio, a digital therapeutic that focuses on reducing patients’ blood pressure and he is also an advisor to the Australia based LIR Energy, an innovative energy company focused on revolutionizing the way we store and utilize renewable energy.
Emerging Technology and R&D Manager, ESB Group
John is responsible for leading ESB’s Group strategy for the adoption and commercialisation of emerging energy technologies to meet the evolving needs of customers and to grow new business in support of ESB’s Net Zero by 2040 Strategy.
With over 25 years’ experience, he has held a range of operational, engineering, commercial and senior management roles across the energy industry including in retail electricity supply, energy services, electric mobility, sustainability, health, safety and wellbeing and innovation.
Head of Future Operations, EirGrid Group
Eoin is Head of Future Operations at EirGrid Group where he is responsible for leading the programme to develop and put in place the operational systems, tools, services and policies required to operate the Ireland and Northern Ireland power system in 2030.
He has worked for over 15 years across a variety of roles with EirGrid Group, which is the electricity Transmission System Operator and Market Operator in Ireland and Northern Ireland. Prior to that, Eoin spent several years in academia.
