Mission & Vision
EnergyCloud Ireland’s mission is to end energy poverty. We do this by turning potential into impact by demonstrating how surplus renewable energy can support households experiencing energy poverty. Through partnerships with Government, local authorities, approved housing bodies and energy partners, we deliver practical, demand-flexible solutions that provide immediate benefit, while also advocating for a fair and inclusive transition to a low-carbon energy system.
Strategy
EnergyCloud Ireland’s strategy is shaped by the scale and reality of energy poverty in Ireland. More than 550,000 homes are affected, representing at least 1.5 million people. Today, EnergyCloud focuses primarily on social housing, where need is high and where partnerships with local authorities and approved housing bodies allow us to provide support where it is needed most. We are delivering tangible outcomes today while proving the potential of surplus renewable energy to assist households experiencing energy poverty.
Our innovative approach harnesses smart, demand-flexible technologies to bring free energy to social housing communities. This provides immediate benefit while improving comfort for households who are most exposed to high energy costs and poorly heated homes. At the same time, we engage with Government and key stakeholders to advocate for policies that recognise energy poverty as an issue of equality and justice, and that ensure surplus renewable energy is used to support those most affected. Together, this approach allows EnergyCloud to deliver real benefit now, while working towards long-term, fair solutions across Ireland’s energy system.
