£2.55bn of Zero-Carbon Energy Wasted in 2025 across England, Scotland and Wales

In 2025 alone, 9,860 million kWh of surplus zero-carbon renewable energy was wasted across England, Scotland and Wales, with an estimated retail value of £2.55 billion.

At the same time, millions of households across England, Scotland and Wales are living in fuel poverty, struggling to afford the energy they need to heat their homes.

This contrast is hard to ignore. While clean energy is being switched off, families are being left behind.

Addressing fuel poverty is not just about generating more renewable energy. It is about making sure existing clean energy is used where it can do the most good.

That is the challenge EnergyCloud is working to address.
