Kenny Cameron steps down as Chair of EnergyCloud Scotland
Kenny Cameron stepped down as Chair of EnergyCloud Scotland in September 2026. We thank him for his contribution to establishing and developing our work to turn surplus renewable electricity into free energy for households in fuel poverty.

Kenny brought experience of Scotland’s energy and housing sectors, alongside a longstanding commitment to making homes warmer and more affordable.
That commitment was recognised last year when Energy Action Scotland presented him with a lifetime achievement award. Presented at its 2025 conference in Clydebank, the award acknowledged his work to tackle fuel poverty, particularly among households that rely on electric heating.
Prior to his retirement, Kenny worked with housing providers to improve how electric heating systems serve residents effectively. That experience reflects an important principle behind EnergyCloud’s work: making better use of technology and existing infrastructure to deliver tangible benefits for households.

Scotland faces the continuing challenge of fuel poverty while significant amounts of renewable electricity go unused. EnergyCloud Scotland’s focus remains on connecting these two challenges, working with housing providers, energy companies and communities to put more of that electricity to social use.
We thank Kenny for his time, commitment and contribution to EnergyCloud Scotland, and wish him well in his retirement.
