EnergyCloud England Appoints David Snow as Chief Executive Officer to Lead Next Phase of Growth
EnergyCloud England is pleased to announce the appointment of David Snow as its first Chief Executive Officer, marking an important step in the organisation’s growth and development.

Since its establishment, EnergyCloud England has been led by a volunteer board. This new executive role has been created to support the organisation’s expansion, strengthen delivery, and build the partnerships required to scale its impact across England.
David Snow brings more than 30 years of experience in the energy and sustainability sector, with a strong track record of leadership across both multinational corporations and small and medium sized enterprises. He has held senior roles with organisations including BP, Siemens, Schneider Electric and SMS, and has extensive expertise in operational delivery, governance, and strategic development.
Throughout his career, David has led large scale efficiency programmes across healthcare, finance, manufacturing, IT, retail and government, delivering measurable carbon reductions and cost savings alongside stronger governance and operational frameworks.
EnergyCloud England works to capture surplus renewable energy that would otherwise be wasted and redirect it to households experiencing fuel poverty. The appointment of a Chief Executive Officer reflects the organisation’s ambition to grow its operations and increase its reach.
EnergyCloud England is part of a wider EnergyCloud network operating across a number of jurisdictions. Separate, independently governed organisations are active in Germany, Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland, each delivering the EnergyCloud model within their own markets while sharing a common mission to reduce renewable energy curtailment and support households in fuel poverty.
David Snow said: “I am honoured to take on the role of Chief Executive Officer at EnergyCloud England at such an important time for the energy sector. While the system continues to evolve, the core challenges remain focused on delivering cleaner energy in a more efficient and affordable way. EnergyCloud’s model addresses both issues by reducing renewable energy waste and supporting households in fuel poverty. I look forward to working with partners to scale this approach and deliver meaningful benefits to those who need it most.”
Rob Martin, Trustee of EnergyCloud England, said: “We are very pleased to welcome David as Chief Executive Officer. This appointment represents a significant milestone for EnergyCloud England as we move from a volunteer led structure to an expanded operational model. David’s depth of experience across the energy sector, combined with his strong leadership and governance background, makes him an excellent fit. His leadership will be central to strengthening partnerships, expanding delivery, and increasing our impact for households experiencing fuel poverty.”
