Join the Board of EnergyCloud England as a voluntary Trustee

We are inviting applications from people who would like to join the Board of EnergyCloud England as a voluntary Trustee, with a particular focus on advocacy and stakeholder engagement.

In 2025, more than 10 TWh of renewable electricity was curtailed across Great Britain. Between January and August 2026, a further 6.56 TWh was curtailed, equivalent to an estimated £1.73 billion at prevailing retail electricity prices.

At the same time, millions of households continue to experience fuel poverty and struggle to afford adequate heat and power.

EnergyCloud England exists to connect these two challenges. We develop practical solutions that make productive use of surplus renewable electricity, directing it to where it can deliver the greatest social value, with a primary focus on households experiencing fuel poverty.

We are looking for someone with senior experience in public affairs, government relations, political communications, stakeholder engagement or partnership development. Knowledge of, or a strong interest in, energy, housing, fuel poverty, sustainability or social impact would be particularly valuable.

The successful candidate will help strengthen our external engagement, build influential partnerships and champion EnergyCloud’s mission across government, regulatory, energy, housing and community networks. They will also share collective responsibility with fellow Trustees for the governance, strategic direction and long term sustainability of EnergyCloud England.
