EnergyCloud are delighted to launch a new innovative pilot with Mayo County Council, in up to 40 local authority homes initially.
Beginning in Ballina, we are using smart technology to deliver free hot water for participating households when there is waste in the system.
This project highlights how by working in partnership we can deliver meaningful impact, and we look forward to rolling this initiative out across Mayo county in due course.
Catherine McConnell, Director of Service at Mayo County Council, commented:
“I would like to express our sincere thanks to the EnergyCloud team. Their commitment to pioneering a social enterprise model that successfully combines technology, environmental sustainability, and social inclusion is truly commendable.
The success of this initiative demonstrates what can be achieved when organisations work together with a shared purpose. I look forward to seeing the positive benefits this project will bring to participating households.”
Cathaoirleach of Mayo County Council, Cllr John Caulfield, said:
“This initiative is an excellent example of how innovation can be harnessed to deliver real benefits for our communities. By helping households reduce energy costs while making better use of renewable energy that might otherwise go to waste, this partnership demonstrates Mayo County Council’s commitment to supporting our residents, promoting sustainability, and addressing energy poverty. I commend everyone involved in bringing this pilot project to fruition and look forward to seeing its impact develop in the years ahead.”
Alan Wyley, CEO of EnergyCloud, added:
“EnergyCloud is delighted to work with Mayo County Council on this initiative, which is now live in Ballina. We hope, in time, it can be rolled out county-wide. By providing free hot water to residents, we are demonstrating how waste in the energy system can be harnessed to directly assist those experiencing energy poverty.”
